Goldair, ETBA To Develop Greek Logistics Center – www.breakbulk.com

Development consortium ETBA BIPE and breakbulk firm Goldair Cargo have been given the go ahead by Greek rail firm GAIAOSE to construct and operate a 59 hectare logistics center on land it owns in Thriaseio.

The consortium is backed by the Piraeus Bank and has appointed Goldair as the temporary contractor for the project. The freight center will be located Thriaseio, western Attica and is expected to help drive

“A 14-year-long effort of our group appears to be coming to a successful conclusion. We expect our investment to spark the further investment of the Greek logistics industry,” Kallinikos Kallinikos, executive president at Goldair Group said.

The tender launched by GAIAOSE received only one bid and is valued at €10 million. The concession process is expected to complete in the firs half of 2017.

Headquartered in Athens, freight forwarding and logistics services internationally from existing logistics centers in Athens and Thessaloniki.
